Rare Patient Voice, LLC was founded in 2013 by industry veteran Wes Michael to provide patients and caregivers with rare diseases an opportunity to be heard. Wes has over 40 years of experience in marketing research, and over 20 years in healthcare marketing research. His vision and the enduring mission of Rare Patient Voice is to connect patients and caregivers with opportunities to share their opinions with researchers and companies developing medical products, treatments, and services to improve lives.

Rare Patient Voice is unique in its approach, having been built on a foundation of direct connections and word of mouth. It assembled a panel of over 100,000 patients and caregivers by attending in-person awareness events, meetings, and conferences, by working with patient advocacy groups through a robust referral program, and through social media. RPV covers more than 600 different conditions, both rare and non-rare, has completed over 5,000 projects, and now covers the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, France, and Spain.

RPV has close to 2,000 partners throughout the world who help us find hard-to-reach patients and caregivers. To date, the company has paid patients over $7 million for participating in research. Rare Patient Voice works with clients, industry partners, and patient advocacy groups to help change healthcare - one voice at a time!
