Celebrating International Clinical Trials Day

Why clinical trials are so important for our community.

For the rare disease community, clinical trials are more than just a form of research. Every trial helps us to better understand conditions that have long eluded effective and gets us closer to finding effective treatments and cures for those conditions.

Participating in clinical trials is crucial for developing new therapies and ensuring they are safe and effective. It also helps researchers gather invaluable data on how diseases progress and how patients respond to different interventions. By raising awareness and encouraging participation, we can drive the innovation needed to bring new treatments to those who need them most.

To honor International Clinical Trial Day (Monday, May 20), join us in recognizing the importance of clinical trials and supporting the efforts of researchers, patients, and caregivers. Read more about the importance of clinical trials, as well as patients’ firsthand experiences with them, on Know Rare’s blog and social feeds. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against rare diseases.
